A smart city in the middle of the Phoenix metropolitan area, Tempe, Arizona combines the best urban amenities with fantastic weather and natural beauty.   This thriving community of 166,000 is located just southeast of Phoenix and Sky Harbor Airport.   Home to Arizona State University and the Sun Devils, Tempe played host for many years to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (it was moved to a new stadium in Glendale in 2007). Tempe still hosts the Insight Bowl and has one of the largest block parties in the US on New Year's Eve.

Tempe Town Lake (developed in 2001) is a 220-acre man-made lake created when a section of dry riverbed coursing the Salt River was dammed and filled.   Several exciting construction projects are underway around the lake, including office, retail, hotel and upscale condominium units. The area is looking forward to the opening of Le Meridian Hotel and Pier 202 in 2008.

Tempe residents are among the most educated in the metropolitan area.  With more than a dozen trade schools, colleges and universities within Tempe, employers will have no problem helping their workers continue their education.  As a result of this highly-intelligent atmosphere, Tempe has a large percentage of knowledge workers.
