Tempe residents are among the most educated in the metropolitan area.  With more than a dozen trade schools, colleges and universities within Tempe, employers will have no problem helping their workers continue their education.  As a result of this highly-intelligent atmosphere, Tempe has a large percentage of knowledge workers. Software engineers, scientific researchers, photographers, marketing professionals, lawyers and venture capitalists make Tempe their city of choice. 

Tempe offers a variety of housing from lakeside homes in a planned community to acre-plus ranches where you can still ride horses, to trendy loft-style condos.   Of particular appeal are the condos and homes located within an easy walk or bike ride from Arizona State University.   Many parents buy a condo where their sons and daughters live while attending college.   After graduation, the condo typically has appreciated significantly, making it an ideal investment.
